    Experience

    Currently teaching Hula Hoop Lessons (Beginner Level) at Jo Dumont Fitness Training in Red Deer.  This is a six week program that is developed around the Hoop City Seeding 1 Class.

    Other Experience Includes

    • Private one on one sessions in the home of the learner.
    • Private group sessions for Ladies groups (1 hour or longer) held in outdoor parks.
    • 2011 – Red Deer CentreFest’s Hula Hoop Lady – A two day festival where I had a designated area where I encouraged attendees of the festival to get active and hula hoop.  Scroll to bottom of page for photos.
    • Summer of 2010 held Hula Hoop Jams at Rotary park in Red Deer – Free events held every two weeks to get people in Red Deer up and active.
    • Summer of 2010 I had a stall at the Red Deer Market where I sold hula hoops.

    Teaching History

    2011 – Began teaching a six week Beginners Hula Hoop curriculum.

    2010 – Began teaching hula hooping to groups and in private one on one lessons.

    2010 – Taught at Red Deer College in the Hospitality and Tourism Department (Financial Accounting for Non-Financial Managers, Guest Room Management and Hospitality Operations and Entrepreneurship – Event Planning)

    2011 to Present – Hoop City Instructor Certification – currently in progress

    2011 – Manual Bookkeeping for Small Businesses

    2010 – Instructional Skills Workshop

    2004 – Bachelor of Applied Management in Hospitality and Tourism (Including Event Management) – Graduated with Distinction – Dean’s List every year
