• Change To Our Services

  Last year was a crazy year for me and my family.  I was working almost full time, I was definitely a full time Mom and I was a part time Mompreneur for a few businesses.  I’ll be honest, I loved all three of my jobs.  Unfortunately though, something had to give.

  I have quit my job and am now staying home exclusively with my youngest.  Although on the surface, it seems like I have more time, I in fact feel like I have less.

  As a result, I’m changing up my Hula Hoop business to try and accommodate our living situation.  I will no longer be shipping hula hoops.  If you are local and want to purchase a hula hoop, I will sell to you, but I will no longer be mailing them out.

  I do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.  I will fill all orders purchased via paypal to date, but that will be it.

  The website will begin to concentrate a lot more on the art of hula hooping, tutorials, etc.  I will likely monetize the site in some form whether that is selling advertising banner space or adding other types of adds to help pay for hosting, etc.

  After much anticipation, our hula hoop store is back up and running! Although the store front wasn’t up, I continued to fulfill orders that came via email and also restocked Play It Again Sports with 8 new hoops for Hula Hoopers in Red Deer.

• Slight Change to HulaHoopers.ca

  If you have been to our site before, you are likely going to notice a few “minor” details.  I put that in quotations, because although they are minor on the surface, a lot of hard work went into the changes.  =)

  I will 100% admit that I’m an internet geek.  I love building websites and blogging, but when you are actually building a website that has a store… it comes with some endearing and some not so endearing qualities.

  Slowly, I am learning my way around and basically trying to make the site better for the end user.  But it is a process.

  If you see anything that is glitchy or have a suggestion to improve an aspect of the site, please let me know.  I would love your input to make this a more efficient place for you to visit.

  As with all websites and blogs, they are rarely ever completed or finished, but my vision is becoming more of a reality.  Sadly (or fortunately) I start work this week (teaching) so I will have less time to tinker, but still plenty of time for hula hooping and hula hoop making.

• Hula Hoop Sale and New Colours

  There is another Hula Hoop Sale currently happening.  The first hula hoop sale is the shipping on multiple hoops found here.  The second hula hoop sale is that I’m selling all of my over sized hoops for more than half off.

  Only $20 per hoop!

  I will have these hoops at the Red Deer Market tomorrow so stop by and pick one up.  I will make you a great deal and make sure you leave with one.  I do not want to bring any home.  =)

  We’ve been busy making new hoops with all of the new colours that arrived.   I am posting a few pictures here so you can see them!

  One last thing, I am looking for performers and teachers in Central Alberta that would be willing to perform in Red Deer.  I have many people ask and unfortunately it is not what I do.   If you are interested, please contact me via email or leave a comment.

• Now Offering Lightweight Dance Hula Hoops

  I’m proud to announce a new style of hula hoop to be added to my current heavier style hula hoops.  The new hula hoop is smaller in diameter and is much lighter than them.  If you look at the picture to the left, you can see the new Light Weight Dance Hoop on the left and the Aerobic Hula Hoop on the right.  There is a noticeable difference in the diameter of the tubing.

  I also wanted to share that another shipment of tape has arrived allowing for many more options.  I will try and update the page that lists the options of colours I have.  If there is something that you want and I do not have it, I will order it in and make you the hoop of your choice.

  Below you will see that I now have tape that has flames, hearts, skull and crossbones, the Canada Flag, the Breast Cancer pink ribbon, pink camouflage and green camouflage.

  I  do custom hula hoops for $50 a piece, so feel free to email me with any design ideas you have and we can design you a personalized hula hoop.  You can even specify the size and style of hula hoop.  Visit my Hula Hoop Store for more information about them.

• Hula Hoop Tape Arrived!!

  Hula Hoop Tape

  Just like the title says… I received a shipment of Hula Hoop Tape today.  Look at the purdy label that it arrived with.  Made me feel all warm inside.  =)

  Now that the tape has arrived my next plan of action is to list the colours I have available and the price of hoops, including shipping on the website.

  I also have an order of tubing due to arrive next week, but until then I will go pick up what the store had and begin making stock hoops to bring to the market on Saturdays when they begin on the long weekend here in Red Deer.  Everything is coming together very nicely and just in time for Spring and outdoor weather.

  My husband and I have been hula hooping the past two nights in our house, but it’s not near the same as feeling the space of the great outdoors.

  So hang tight, I’m going to try and get the colours up and listed quickly and then on to hoop prices.
